 About

After having studied Fine Art at The Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Nicole had a vision of combining her love for art, with her other love for psychology. Nicole completed her graduate level training program at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.

Prior to establishing Art Psychotherapy Counselling Services™ Nicole facilitated Art Therapy at a Children's Aid Treatment home and a mental health facility, in the greater Toronto area, where she completed her Thesis titled 'The Effectiveness of Art Therapy with First Psychotic Break Adolescents'.

Nicole has worked extensively with clients using the Art Therapy process as a means to decipher the individuals inner world, allowing them to gain a better understanding of their experiences.   She offers individual, couples, family, and group counselling and is a therapist for Victim Services, a branch of the York Region Police Department.

Along with conducting Professional Development Webinars, a monthly Clinical Peer Support Group, Professional Development presentations for 'The Children's Mental Health Organization of Ontario', 'International Creative Art Therapies Teleconference' and the '2nd Virtual Conference on Counselling' this year, Nicole also writes for her private practices Newsletter and other Publications (such as 3 of her therapeutic activity directives being included in Liana Lowenstein's recent book 'Creative Family Therapy Techniques').   Nicole is also the President of the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Art Therapy Association.
